To a wise person, everything is futile; even the realms imagined by Brahma and other deities are considered vain.
This couplet tells us that for a truly wise or enlightened person, everything in the world is seen as transient and ultimately without real substance. From the greatest creator like Brahma down to all the worlds and experiences we imagine, a jnani understands them to be temporary and illusory. This isn't about rejection, but a profound realization that ultimate truth lies beyond the perceived reality. It's an invitation to look beyond the temporary and find something more profound, seeing through the illusions of existence to grasp a deeper, unchanging reality.
