અધ્યાત્મ ન જાણે આત્માથકી
નોખો નોખો કહે છે બકી;
He knows not the spirit from the Self's true sway,Yet babbles it is separate, in a misguided way.
He does not know spirituality from the Self, yet babbles that it is separate.

પોતે જાણે હું આત્મવેત્તા થયો
તે થાવામાં દે હભાગજ રહ્યો.
He thinks, 'I've now become the Self's true seer,' Yet in that becoming, the body's part remained.
He believes he has become the true seer of the Self, yet in that very process of becoming, the influence of the body still persists.

પોતે ટળીને સઘળું પ્રીછ
વાટે ચાલતાં આંખ મ વીંચ;
Subdue the self, and all things come to know,Walk on the path, and let your eyes not close.
Subdue your ego and you will understand everything. As you walk through life, keep your eyes open and be aware.

સગુણ નિર્ગુણ ધાર્યાં નામ;

પોતે ટળ્યા તે પ્રીછ્ યા જાણ
તેને શોભે સઘળી વાણ;
Know this: he who has transcended the self, truly understands; To him, all speech is becoming.
Know that the one who has transcended their self truly understands. To such a person, all speech is becoming and appropriate.
