ટળને બાંધણે બાંધ્યો ન જાય;
Towards the eternal it rushes day and night,By transient bonds, it cannot be bound.
It rushes towards the eternal reality day and night. It cannot be bound by transient worldly ties.

In the transient, who loves the steadfast,O Akha, such a person will surely triumph.
O Akha, the person who loves the steadfast while being in the transient will surely triumph.

અણછતું આવ્રણ ન પામે લાગ;
When reality is known, detachment does arise;The hidden veil no longer has a hold.
When the true nature of things is known, detachment arises. At this point, no hidden veil or illusion can exert its influence.

વળતા તે તો કૂ શળ રહ્યા;
The thief they knew, and grew alert;Thereafter, they remained unharmed, unhurt.
They recognized the thief and became alert; as a result, they remained safe.

The careless, oh brother, by thieves were plundered,But joy and good tidings in the watchful's home are rendered.
Oh brother, the heedless were plundered by thieves, while joy and good tidings increased in the home of the vigilant.
