Ghazal
Akha Bhagat 9
This ghazal by Akha Bhagat criticizes superficial knowledge and hypocrisy. It metaphorically likens learned individuals who perform their wisdom for material gain to a broken well, suggesting that their teachings are hollow. Akha questions why, if true understanding were present, one wouldn't apply it privately rather than making a public spectacle for profit.
