Ghazal

या मुझे अफ़सर-ए-शाहाना बनाया होता

Bahadur Shah Zafar· Ghazal· 9 shers· radif: बनाया होता

In this ghazal, the poet laments the torment of rational intellect and worldly moderation, wishing instead for an absolute state—either sovereign majesty, the freedom of utter renunciation, or the consumed madness of divine love. The emotional tone is deeply contemplative, combining existential yearning with poignant resignation.
