Meaning
You used to hide and capture easily, and used to bend your hair with us. You used to hide and move so easily, but now life is unfindable and the heart is broken. Just stop, dear, just stop.
Explanation
This powerful couplet is a raw plea of the heart, describing the agony of separation. The speaker begs the beloved to stop their tormenting actions—the secretive glances, the pulling of hair, the sudden departures. It is a desperate cry for mercy, asking the beloved to cease this torture. The repeated lines, 'Bas ker jee, hun bas ker jee,' are not just words; they are the sound of a soul exhausted by unbearable longing, a profound cry for peace and reprieve.
