ગજરો મૂલ પામે ગુલતાન, સારો સારો કહે સુલતાન;
થાય ગુણીજન જોઈ સુલતાન; માલણo
The garland finds its worth in the flower-garden,The Sultan praises it, saying, "Excellent, excellent!";Seeing this, the virtuous too become like a Sultan;O gardener!

કવિતાની કીમત ઉર આણે, એજ ગજરાનું મૂલ પ્રમાણે
દાખે દલપત બીજા શું જાણે? માલણo
The heart that understands the worth of poetry, is the same that appreciates the value of a garland. So says Dalpat, what do others know? O Gardener!
Only a heart that truly grasps the value of poetry can also appreciate the worth of a garland. Poet Dalpat opines that others lack this discerning understanding.
