My heart, from hidden anguish, burned without restraint,As though it burned, like a silent fire, completely spent.
My heart, from hidden anguish, burned without restraint. It burned as if like a silent fire.

In the heart, no zest for union, no beloved's memory lingers,
Such a fire consumed this house, that all that was, now only cinders.
In the heart, neither the desire for union nor the memory of the beloved remains. Such a fire consumed this house that everything that was there burned down completely.
