Ghazal

इब्न-ए-मरियम हुआ करे कोई

Mirza Ghalib· Ghazal· 10 shers· radif: कोई

This ghazal expresses a deep, almost spiritual, longing for a cure for profound suffering, evoking the miraculous healing power of Ibn-e-Maryam. The speaker feels helpless against a cruel beloved whose allure is as sharp as an arrow but whose heart remains impenetrable. It also laments an oppressive environment where speaking one's mind is forbidden, forcing silent submission to the beloved's will.
