रहिए अब ऐसी जगह चल कर जहाँ कोई न हो

रहिए अब ऐसी जगह चल कर जहाँ कोई न हो हम-सुख़न कोई न हो और हम-ज़बाँ कोई न हो

Let me now go to such a place where there is no one,Where there's no one to converse with, and no one to share a language.

Let us now go and reside in a place where no one exists. Where there is no one to talk to, and no one who speaks our language.

बे-दर-ओ-दीवार सा इक घर बनाया चाहिए कोई हम-साया न हो और पासबाँ कोई न हो

A house, as if without door or wall, should be built,Let no neighbor dwell there, nor any guard stand still.

If you fall ill, let there be no one to nurse you, And if you die, let there be no one to lament you.

If I fall ill, may there be no one to nurse or care for me. And if I die, may there be no one to lament or mourn my passing.
