Ghazal
Kabir 471-480
This ghazal emphasizes the supreme importance of a true guru (Satguru) for spiritual enlightenment. It suggests that while worldly wisdom and the company of saints are valuable, without the direct guidance of a Satguru, all other efforts like studying, practicing yoga, or performing penance are futile for attaining liberation. The verses warn that even profound knowledge cannot save one who ignores the Satguru's teachings.
