As long as worldly attachments remain, devotion cannot arise. When Hari (God) breaks those attachments, only the true devotee remembers Him.

Kabir suggests that true devotion cannot blossom while we are entangled in the attachments and illusions of the world. These worldly ties distract us from the divine. Only when Hari (God) breaks these superficial attachments does the mind remember Him, confirming the true nature of the devotee.
