Akha, the blind one looted the market; such is the Saint-Guru's insight.
This couplet by Akha uses a powerful metaphor: "A blind person plundered the market." It’s not about physical blindness or theft. Akha suggests that many of us live without true spiritual insight, much like a blind person navigating a bustling marketplace. We are busy in the world, accumulating desires and possessions, but often lack a deeper understanding of life's true purpose. We might be "plundering" our own existence by focusing on superficial gains, oblivious to what truly matters. A Saint-Guru, with profound wisdom, observes this state of being. They understand that such frantic, directionless activity, though seemingly productive, often misses the real essence of life.
