Initially, my body-pride was only a quarter-kilo, but as I studied and gained knowledge, it increased significantly to a full kilo.

This couplet observes that initial self-pride, or attachment to the physical body, was minimal. But as education progressed, this sense of ego grew significantly. It's a profound observation on how knowledge, instead of fostering humility, can sometimes inflate our self-importance or arrogance. True wisdom, however, should lead us to understand our small place in the vast universe and inspire a sense of modesty and compassion, rather than boosting our ego. It reminds us to be mindful of how we carry our learning.
