Though it is vast and present, the moon is not visible. Akho says, 'This is the snare of illusion (Maya).'
This couplet by Akho Maharaj speaks about how truth often remains hidden from our perception. He says, "There is plenty, yet the moon is not seen." Imagine a bright moon obscured by clouds; it's there, but we can't see its radiance. Akho explains this by saying, "It's the trap of Maya." Maya refers to the world of illusion, the veil that prevents us from seeing the ultimate reality or the divine. We are surrounded by truth and spiritual abundance, but our minds, engrossed in worldly attachments and sensory experiences, fail to perceive it, much like failing to see the moon through a dense fog of illusion. It's a reminder to look beyond superficial appearances.
