જેમ તલમાં કોદરા મળ્યા;

ઘેંસ ન થાય ન થાય ઘાણી
કહે અખો એ વાતો જાણી.
No grinding will take place, no oil-press will turn, Akhil says, knowing these matters.

એમ કથા સુણવા ચાલ્યું સહુ ;

કહ્યું કાંઇને સમજ્યાં કશું
આંખ્યનું કાજળ ગાલે ઘશ્યું;
One thing was said, another understood,The eye's kohl smudged upon the cheek instead.
One thing was said, but something entirely different was understood, akin to smudging kohl meant for the eyes onto the cheeks, signifying a significant misunderstanding or misapplication.
