Ghazal
ધીરે ધીરે સુધારાનો સાર
This ghazal, 'The Essence of Gradual Reform,' emphasizes the importance of patience and a gentle approach when introducing new ideas or reforms. It uses analogies to illustrate that complex concepts should be presented gradually and considerately, just as one would not offer a whole sweet to ants or scare monkeys in a boat, to ensure acceptance and understanding rather than rejection or fear.

To minds of little depth, speak not of truths so wide;How can seven sher of grain in a pasher pot reside?
One should not speak of great matters before those with limited understanding, just as a seven-sher quantity cannot fit into a pasher-sized vessel.

For millions of ants, a laddu's sweet delight,If placed whole, they will perish in the night.But if you crush and scatter it around,They'll eat it well, with satisfaction found.

જે સમજે જેવી રીતથી, તેને પણ સમજાવીએ તેમ;

To him who understands in his own way, we explain accordingly; A deaf man grasps by signs, why then should we prattle needlessly, O gentle folk?
We explain to each person in a manner they understand; for a deaf person comprehends through signs, so why should we engage in needless chatter?

બાળક આગળ બોલિયે, ત્યારે બનિયે બાળક રૂપ;
ભૂ બાઉ તાતા ભાખિયે, ભલે હોઈએ ભળેલા ભૂપ. સજ્જનo
When we address a child with grace,Our very selves like them become;We babble "Bhoo, bau, Tata" with playful face,Though learned kings, from wisdom's home.
When we speak in front of a child, we assume the form of a child. We utter childish words like 'Bhoo, Bau, Tata,' even if we are learned kings.

No moment stays within its belly, like kheer devoured by a cat;Why should we then needlessly feed it? My dear friend, just ponder that.
If nothing stays in the stomach for even a moment, like kheer eaten by a cat, then why feed it needlessly? My friend, think about it.
