Ghazal
शौक़ हर रंग रक़ीब-ए-सर-ओ-सामाँ निकला
This ghazal delves into the overwhelming and uncontrollable nature of intense desire, portraying it as an adversary to peace that, like Majnun's madness, cannot be hidden. It explores the immense, paradoxical pleasure found in the pain of love, which surpasses the heart's capacity to contain it. The verses paint a picture of profound internal turmoil and the lover's isolation, where even seemingly supportive relationships are superficial.
