My cupbearer has wiped away the entire state of my heart and your heart, by giving me the intoxication of 'There is no god but God.'

This is a profound expression of spiritual surrender. The 'Saqi' (cupbearer) here is the divine love, and the 'May' (intoxication) is the realization of 'La-Ilaha-illallah'—the oneness of God. Allama Iqbal is describing a state where the lover has lost all sense of self, all ego, and all worldly attachments. He has been completely dissolved into the pure intoxication of divine oneness! It is the ultimate surrender, the dissolution of the 'self' in the Beloved.
