This profound couplet speaks of a divine lesson learned through the miraculous journey of the Prophet (Me'raj). Allama Iqbal suggests that after witnessing such sublime spiritual transcendence, one realizes a fundamental truth about humanity: that the entire vastness of human existence (alām-e-bashariyat) is fundamentally composed of dust (gurdū).
