ઇન્સાફી તખ્ત પર કરાલ કાલ જાગે;

રક્તે ધોવાય; જાલિમોનાં દળ ભાંગે;

દેવા દુષ્ટોને દંડ ઘોર કાલ જાગે.
નવ જોઈએ ધર્મપાલ, સ્વર્ગાસનધર કૃપાલ,
For the wicked, a dreadful Time awakens to mete out its heavy hand,No longer is Dharma's protector needed, nor the merciful King of heaven's land.
For the wicked, a dreadful Time awakens to deliver punishment. In such a state, there is no longer a need for the protector of Dharma or the merciful one enthroned in heaven.

પશુના ગોવાલ સમ નિયંતા નવ જોઈએ;
માનવસંતાન સર્વ, મોડી ગર્વીના ગર્વ,
No ruler like a herdsman for brute beasts we need;All are human offspring, of a latent pride's creed.

લૂંટણહારાની લૂંટ, લેશું આવાર ઝૂંટ,

ભોળાં કંગાલ કાજ ફાંસલા પસારે;

બહુ દિન દાસત્વ સહ્યાં, જીવન નીર્વીર્ય થયાં,
બંધુત્વે વહ્યા પ્રાણ નવરચના માર્ગે;

દેવા ઘાતીને દંડ ઘોર કાલ જાગે.
પૃથ્વી પર રાજ કોનાં? સાચાં શ્રમજીવીઓનાં,
For the destroyers, severe Time's justice awakes,Whose rule on Earth? The true toilers' it takes.

ખેડુનાં, ખાણિયાનાં, ઉદ્યમવંતોનાં;
રંકોનું રક્તપાન પી પીને પે'લવાન
Of farmers, of miners, of the industrious;
Drinking the blood of the poor, they become mighty.
Mighty individuals are formed by repeatedly drinking the blood of farmers, miners, the industrious, and the poor.

બનતા ધનવાન-જ્ઞાનવાન તેનું સ્થલ ના :
ગર્વોન્નત ગરુડ-બાજ, ભક્ષક ઓ પંખીરાજ!
It's not the domain of the rich or the wise,O proud eagle-hawk, predator, king of the skies!
This place is not for those who are becoming wealthy or wise. It is addressed to the proud eagle-hawk, the predator and king of birds.

તમ વ્હોણો સૂર્ય કાલ તપવું નહિ ત્યાગે;
જાગો શ્રમજીવી લોક, ત્યાગો તંદ્રા ને શોકઃ
Even though you are dormant, the sun its light won't cease to throw;Awake, O working people, relinquish sloth and all your woe!
