O beloved, if someone is madly in love and lost in passion, or utterly helpless, is he allowed entry into your court, or not?
This couplet asks a poignant question to the beloved. The lover, overwhelmed by intense emotions, wonders if they are still worthy of entering the beloved's presence. "Diwana mast" describes someone deeply intoxicated by love, perhaps even appearing crazy or lost in their passion. "Lachar" portrays them as helpless and powerless, completely surrendered to their feelings. The lover humbly asks, "Should such a person, whether madly in love or utterly helpless, be allowed into your court, my darling?" It's a plea for acceptance, seeking reassurance that their profound devotion, despite its chaotic nature, is welcome.
