आरज़ूएँ हज़ार रखते हैं

आरज़ूएँ हज़ार रखते हैं
तो भी हम दिल को मार रखते हैं
Though we hold a thousand desires,
Still we keep our hearts in check.

बर्क़ कम-हौसला है हम भी तो
दिलक-ए-बे-क़रार रखते हैं
