जो कहो तुम सो है बजा साहब
हम बुरे ही सही भला साहब
Whatever you say, it is true, sir,
Even if we are bad, it is good, sir.

सादा-ज़ेहनी में नुक्ता-चीं थे तुम
अब तो हैं हर्फ़-आशना साहब
In the simple mind, you were a dot-maker,
