Did nothing happen from my tear-filled eyes,
Or did the clouds gather and rain heavily here?
Did anything happen from my tear-filled eyes, or did the clouds gather and rain heavily here?

For my friends, do not keep a gathering in fear; whether it comes or not, a new house will be built from the ashes.
For my friends, do not keep a gathering in fear; whether it comes or not, a new city will rise from the ashes.

Do not keep the illusion of wandering after them,
Who have fallen to dust from the sight of your gaze.
Do not maintain the illusion of seeking them, who have fallen to dust from the sight of your gaze.

If the longing to see her lessens, the noise will diminish,
Every morning a catastrophe rises from her threshold.
If the desire to see her lessens, the noise will diminish; every morning, a catastrophe rises from her threshold.

A stain is one, and the blood that flows is one;
Now what argument is there, what discourse from heart to liver?
A stain is one, and the flowing blood is one; now what argument is there, what discourse from the heart to the liver?

How can I not pull the poetry's threads of the heart? / What is better than the flaw I have crafted with skill?
How can I not pull the threads of poetry from the heart? What is better than the flaw I have crafted with skill?

We saw the outcome of our work, like the nightingale, with our own eyes; we were wanderers from a few broken spots in the garden.

Weakness has killed the core of the heart,
Calamity has come to our life, to our home.
Weakness has killed the core of the heart, and calamity has come to our life, to our home.

This captivating destination, finally seeing it, brought a sigh,
All the friends had left, the ones who came with me on this journey.
Seeing this captivating destination finally brought a sigh, as all the friends who had accompanied me on this journey had left.

Perhaps the wanderer, 'Mir', has turned to dust,
When a cloud of dust rises from his path.
