Since the dagger-bearer-of-the-hands has become the butcher,
This country of oppressors has become purified.
Since the dagger-bearer-of-the-hands has become the butcher, this country of oppressors has become purified. Literally, the couplet suggests that the land of oppressors has become cleansed or pure since the 'dagger-bearer' transformed into a butcher.

From whom I try to draw, only dryness I receive;
My heart, burning in my chest, has turned to dust and leave.
From the person from whom I try to draw any hope, I only receive dryness (disappointment); my heart, having burned in my chest, has turned into dust.

What exquisite pleasure is found in the pain of those wounds?
This life, my dear, has become a mere shell.
Oh life, what exquisite pleasure is found in the pain of those wounds? This life, my dear, has become a mere shell.

From your company, this world will find its end,
Everyone has been captivated by this wanton.
From your company, this world will meet its end, and everyone has become captivated by this wanton woman.

Do not sit in the shadow of the wall; rise up, for the sky has already become a promise.
Do not sit in the shadow of the wall; rise up, for the sky has already become a promise.

Where is the modesty for every word? The sword is drawn now for every talk. He has become so brazen with us.
Where is the modesty for every word? The sword is drawn now for every talk. He has become so brazen with us.

Every letter has cried out about our condition,
The letter in the qasid's hand has become moist with tears.
Every letter has wept concerning our condition, and the letter in the messenger's hand has become moist with tears.

Oh, Zair-e-falak, if you weep, then weep for you, 'Mir',
What kind of world or state has become mere dust.
Oh, Zair-e-falak, if you weep, then weep for you, 'Mir'; what kind of world or state has become mere dust.
