The yogi joyfully contemplates Sachchidananda, while the sorrowful ignorant wish for death; yet, the wise perceive the same underlying essence in both.
This couplet beautifully illustrates two contrasting paths in life. On one hand, you have the yogis, filled with joy as they deeply contemplate Satchidananda, the ultimate reality of existence, consciousness, and bliss. Their peace comes from connecting with this profound truth. On the other hand, there are those who are sad and unaware, so lost in their suffering that they long for death, seeing no escape. But then, there are the truly wise. They perceive the very essence or 'color' that brings joy to the yogis, understanding that true wisdom lies in recognizing this eternal, blissful reality, rather than being trapped by transient sorrows. It’s about shifting our perspective to see the underlying divine truth.
