Bulleh Shah, the great Sufi Shayar, speaks here with the urgency of a lover whose beloved is walking away. The Shayar asks the beloved not to abandon the deep roots of their love, comparing it to the steadfastness of the earth. He pleads for the beloved to return, urging them to leave their current path and come back to the depth of their bond. It is a poignant plea for unconditional commitment.
