સો સો દીવાલો બાંધતાં ત્યાં ફાવશો નહીં!

ના આંસુથી, ના ઝુલ્મથી, ના વસ્લથી, ના બન્ધથી,
દિલ જે ઊઠ્યું રોકાય ના, એ વાત છોડી કેદની,
Not by tears, nor by tyranny, nor by union, nor by bonds, The heart once stirred, cannot be restrained, forget the talk of prisons.
A heart that has been stirred cannot be restrained by tears, tyranny, reunion, or any bonds; the very mention of imprisonment becomes irrelevant.

સૌ ખુશ રહો જેમાં ખુશી, હું જ્યાં ખુશી તે હું કરું;
“શું એ હતું? શું આ થયું?” એ પૂછશે કોઈ નહીં.
Let all be happy in what brings them joy, I will do what makes me glad;"What was that? What has this become now?" No one will ever ask.

કૈં છે ખુશી, કૈં છે નહીં, દિલ જાણતું જે છે તે છે!
જ્યાં જ્યાં ઠરી દિલની ખુશી, ત્યાં ત્યાં ખુશી દિલ છે નકી.
Sometimes there's joy, sometimes there isn't, the heart knows what it is!Wherever the heart's joy settles, there, joy is surely the heart.

પેદા કર્યો તો ઈશ્ક ત્યાં ના કોઈને પૂછ્યું હતું,
એ ભૂંસવા જો છે ખુશી તો પૂછવું એ કૈં નથી.
When love was created, no one was consulted then;If erasing it brings joy, no need to ask again.

છે ઈશ્ક જોયો ખૂબ તો જોવું હવે જે ના દીઠું,
કિસ્મત બતાવે ખેલ તે આનંદથી જોવા સહી.

આ ચશ્મ બુરજે છે ચડ્યું આલમ બધી નિહાળવા,
તે ચશ્મ પર પાટો તમે વીંટી હવે શકશો નહીં.

મુજ ઊર્મિ એ તમ વારિધિ, તમ વારિધિ મુજ ઊર્મિ છે;
જે હિકમતે આ જે બન્યું તે જાણશે કોઈ નહી.
My feelings, they are your ocean; your ocean, it is my feeling;What artifice brought this to be, no one will know its revealing.

શું પૂછવું? શું બોલવું? ખુશ છો અને રહેજો ખુશી;
વ્યર્થ આંસુ ખેરશો તો લૂછશે કોઈ નહીં.
