Ghazal
ख़ूबी का उस की बस-कि तलबगार हो गया
This ghazal describes the state of being so obsessed with someone's beauty or charm that one becomes completely captivated. It paints a picture of a love-induced intoxication, where the heart becomes ill or obsessed with a single thought or sight. The poem speaks of how the impact of love has left the lover in a state of bewilderment and helplessness, far from their original self.

गुल बाग़ में गले का मिरे हार हो गया
He has become someone who seeks her perfection,
In the garden of roses, my necklace is lost.
He has become someone who merely seeks her perfection, and in the garden of roses, my necklace is lost.
