Should that radiant face be veiled beneath curls wild and winding, once again into the sign of Virgo the sun shall return.
If that radiant face comes beneath those twisted and winding locks of hair, it will be as though the sun has returned once again into the zodiac sign of Virgo.

It will be your kindness, O messenger, if you return with haste; seeing the reply to my letter, patience shall come to stay.
O messenger, it will be a great favor to me if you return quickly, because seeing the reply to my letter will bring peace and patience to my restless heart.
3
Be not so restless, for if their wrath should fall, you will be caught in calamity, O my ruined heart.
Do not be so restless, for if the beloved's wrath falls upon you, O my ruined heart, you will be caught in great trouble.
4
It is not wise to weep so much, now hold your tears at bay; else beware, O tear-filled eye, a tempest makes its way.
It is not good to weep so much, so stop your tears now. Otherwise, O tearful eye, beware that a storm will come.
5
If the reckoning of your sins were ever brought to light, O cruel one, the vast expanse of Judgment Day would prove too tight.
O cruel one, if an account of your sins is presented, even the vast expanse of the Day of Judgment will become too small to hold it.
6
Beholding in your tyrant hand that sword of lustrous sheen, / The mouth of every wound upon my heart will water at the scene.
Seeing your lustrous and sharp sword in the hand of cruelty, water will come to the mouth of every wound on my heart.
7
Flaunt not the dizzying whirl of your rapturous gaze, O Saqi, for look—the very cup of wine will begin to reel.
O Saqi, do not roll your intoxicated eyes around; look, even the cup of wine will soon start spinning.
8
It would be well indeed if from my breast you depart; peace at last would come to me, O restless, troubled heart!
O restless heart, it would be wonderful if you departed from my chest, for only then would I finally find peace.
9
O Zafar, once the veil of modesty and shyness is drawn aside, before my very eyes, my beloved shall appear unveiled.
O Zafar, once the veil of modesty and shyness is lifted, my beloved will appear before me unveiled.
